According to consumer advocate Remar Sutton, there are many ways to save energy and other resources around the home without spending a lot of money. Manhattan District Attorney candidate Cy Vance today announced his Plan to Reduce Recidivism: Enhancing Reentry Services, a program to help those leaving incarceration find jobs, housing and essential services, aimed at significantly reducing the instances of repeat offenses.

The Kindred Harmony Project uses indigenous music, in collaboration with mainstream Western artists, to help bring about health reform.


Planned Parenthood of New York City is throwing a benefit auction and you better believe it’s going to be saucy.  “Summer, Sex, and Spirits” will be thrown at the Museum of Sex.  Admission gets you after hour admissions to the Museum, access to the fabulous silent auction prizes and open bar all night.  Saucy indeed. 
 


 

Margaret Chin has dedicated her life to public service for over 30 years. A former teacher, she has been working with community groups in lower Manhattan on affordable housing, education, and equity issues for most of her life. She left her position as Deputy Executive Director of the non-profit group Asian Americans for Equality, where she worked to protect and build affordable housing, in September 2008, to focus on her campaign. Ms. Chin was also a member of Community Boards 1 and 3.
