ANIMATION: STATE OF THE ART AT 92Y, THURSDAY AT 7PM.

Animation is typically regarded as a children’s medium, but why?  Its not thematically limited and can be as adult as imagination will allow.  Many great works were animated; for instance, The Triplets of Belleville and Persopolis.  And (to hammer the point in), lets not forget about all the nerds who went on many o’ hot dates with their Avatar girlfriends.  You get the unfortunate visuals…

On Thursday Rob O’Neill, animator and professor at Pratt Institute, will be at the 92y uptown to discuss animation as an art and what is involved in the creation of modern animated films.
