A BAROQUE BASH AT THE GALAPAGOS ART SPACE, SATURDAY 3/28 AT 8PM.

Rococo, for those of you who don’t know, is an 18th century style of French art and interior design that was garish, ornate, extravagant and fabulous.  It was much like the famed parties of its time (before the party guests got their heads chopped off during that pesky revolution) and so it is natural that our generation has deemed it rad.

On Saturday, March 28th the magnificence of 1770 Paris will collide with the multifarious tastes of New York nightlife at the Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo at The Return of Rococo Party: A  Baroque Bash.  “This 4th installment of the Party will feature burlesque, spectacles, aerialism, hula hoop acrobatics, magic, juggling, baroque “makeovers”, fortune telling, and live techno baroque and rococo rock music. Powdered wigs, powdered faces, candelabras, masques, and big hair will all abound in the most baroque ball since the guillotine came down!”

There will be live music by Snazzmammoth, KMBS, Rebecca Agostine, Sir DJ Rapscallion, Adam and Mia, and performances galore.   I’ll see you there!
