There is a certain kitsch to tribute bands that you’ve got to respect. I mean who knew there were so many ways to love Hall and Oates? (Apparently lots!) The Petty Thieves are a Tom Petty tribute band (and I did know that there are that many ways to love Tom Petty) that re-interprets the legendary musician’s works with its own bluegrass flavor.
And it takes a lot of courage to do so…. I mean I understand that American girls just don’t know how it feels to be on stage. It is like you are free falling. You are frightened, but you won’t back down.
The Petty Thieves will be playing at the The Ace of Clubs Friday night. I suggest you attend. I'm not sure if you know this but it will be Mary Jane's last dance as well as a sing-a-long good time!
