Dead Meadow Closes Tour in NYC Sunday at Bowery Ballroom
Dead Meadow is one of those underground bands that is surfacing with a vengeance. Their psychedelic rock sounds once described as “heavy, dreamy, trippy, expansive, reflective and evocative” band together the youths, seething for something fresh, and the romantics, longing for the hard rock of the 70’s and the psychedelics from the 60’s. Thus Dead Meadow has elicited a cult like following. And they also made a movie… You know how Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" synchs up with Wizard of Oz? Well it’s similar. They made an album with 5 new tracks and 11 live ones and synched it with film. Check out the trailer:

The band will be wrapping up their American tour in our neck of the woods on Sunday night at the Bowery Ballroom and will be screening the film Monday night at Piano's on the Lower East Side before heading off to Europe. It’s your chance to check them out.
