DISTRICT 45 CANDIDATE JUMAANE WILLIAMS ENDORSED BY NY TIMES.
Jumaane Williams
A press release from City Council candidate Jumaane Williams:
The New York Times today endorsed Jumaane Williams, saying that Jumaane "is a compelling advocate for affordable housing and immigrant rights, and he would pursue these issues energetically in the Council."
On top of that we're proud that Jumaane has been endorsed by Courier Life, the Amsterdam News, RWDSU, the Metropolitan Council on Housing, Democratic District Leader Lori Knipel (44th Assembly District), and leaders from Brooklyn's Haitian Community.
These endorsements are an incredible demonstration of the broad consensus that has formed around Jumaane's candidacy. With your help, we can turn this support into victory.
Jumaane is carrying his momentum into Monday's West Indian Day Parade, and we want you to join him there. We will be meeting at 9 AM at the corner of Buffalo Avenue and Eastern Parkway. If you would like to join us after 9:00, please send a text message to me, Saba Debesu, at 718-749-7073. I will let you know where we are so you can meet us.
Finally, Election Day is fast approaching, and we need your help. Please help us take Jumaane across the finish line by coming out to volunteer this coming Saturday or Sunday for our Get Out the Vote effort. To sign up, please call us at 347-533-8000, or just reply to this email.
We're nearly there. With your help, we'll make Jumaane the next Councilmember from the 45th District.
