ERIC GIOIA RESPONDS TO NEGATIVE ATTACKS WITH NEW T.V. AD.

"Games"

A letter from Public Advocate Eric Gioia:

Dear Friend,

For too long, politicians have treated campaigns like a game, launching attacks at each other instead of focusing on important issues.

Now two longtime political insiders, Bill de Blasio and Mark Green, are doing the same thing, attacking fellow Democrats.

After their attacks in the first official campaign debate, the New York Post called de Blasio and Green "Nasty Boys," and the New York Observer's blog called them "bickering, mud-slinging pols."

But while the political insiders are playing games, Eric Gioia knows that New Yorkers need a Public Advocate who will solve problems and get real results:

  • Gioia stood up to deadbeat landlords, and got rent back for tenants and won needed repairs
  • He helped save the program that reimburses New York City public school teachers for the money they spend buying school supplies
  • Gioia led the fight to evict sex offenders who were illegally living in city housing

Campaigns shouldn't be about launching attacks and playing political games, but about solving problems. As Public Advocate, Democrat Eric Gioia will be independent, and he'll get real results.

Sincerely,

Zoe Epstein
