GOLES Presents Town Hall Meetings

GOLES is a neighborhood housing and preservation organization that is dedicated to tenants’ rights, homelessness prevention, economic development and community revitalization. This week they are holding Town Hall Meetings on Monday, June 14th at 6pm at the New Design High School and Tuesday June 15th at 6pm at the Lillian Wald Tenant Room.  
 
Topics will include:
 
Which blocks are under fire in 2010?
What’s going on with the East River Waterfront?
Luxury apartments on Ave. D?
Will they build housing on the vacant lots on Delancey & Broome – and if so, will we be able to afford it?
What is New York’s land-use system?
Who are the players, and who responds most people power?
How can everyday people organize to win?
