OLA PRESENTS BENEFIT PERFOMANCE OF THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES IN SPANISH, 3/28/09 AT 7PM.

Eve Ensler’s renowned compilation of monologues will greet the Latino Community of the Hamptons this Saturday in a Spanish rendition of the famed collection. The show is being performed with the hopes that the monologues’ V-Day message, a global movement to stop violence against women, will reach Latin communities in Long Island. 

 

This rendition of the Vagina Monologues will be directed by Minerva Perez Scelza and feature Isabel Sepulveda and Sandra Dunn, and produced by OLA of Eastern Long Island.  OLA is a non-for-profit serving the Latino Community of the East End through educational, social advocacy and cultural awareness programs and forums.  The night will feature live music, free concession items by Hampton Coffee Company and gift bags. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Retreat, a domestic violence shelter on LI.
