Iconic playboy bunny, feminist and workers’ rights advocate Gloria Steinem will be among the speakers on the steps of City Hall in support of a proposed bill currently being considered by the City Council that would support paid sick days.

 

“Over a million workers in New York City do not have access to paid sick time at their job to deal with their own or their family's health needs or to address domestic violence issues. Hard-working families deserve better and, with your help, we can change that. 

The paid sick time bill makes it possible for virtually every worker in New York City to take time off from work when he or she or a family member are ill without being penalized.”
