St. Malachy's to Present 'Look at the World'— A Benefit Concert

St. Malachy’s – The Actors’ Chapel will host a benefit concert, ‘Look at the World’, on Presidents Day. The charitable event, featuring performances by Broadway’s “Phantom of the Opera” star David Cryer, American soprano Diane Simet, and a 200-person choir, aims to raise funds for the Actors’ Chapel ministries in support of the surrounding Broadway community.

Led by world renowned conductor Eric Knapp, ‘Look at the World’ will present an evening of eclectic musical selections, ranging from the sacred to the secular. The concert will showcase the voices of the Boyton Elementary School Choir, the Connecticut Choral Society, the New Jersey Choral Society, the St. Barnabas High School Choir, the St. Malachy’s Festival Choir, and the talent of organist Mark Pacoe. With piano accompaniment by Linda Sweetman-Waters, the event will also feature selections from the hit musical “Kiss Me Kate” and classics from the great American songbook.

All proceeds will benefit the musical ministries of St. Malachy’s and the development of a safe, affordable childcare center for Broadway parents and children.

“We hope to raise spirits and funds in celebration of the longstanding relationship between St. Malachy’s and the Broadway family,” states St. Malachy’s pastor Rev. Richard Baker.
