Taj Mahal Trio at the World Financial Center

Blues superstars Taj Mahal and James Blood Ulmer share the stage with the next generation of blues heroes like The Growlers, Amy LaVere, The Beauties and Mike Farris in the inaugural Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival at the World Financial Center July 28-30.

• Taj Mahal Trio - The legendary Grammy Award winner has built a worldwide following over the course of his 40-year career, infusing traditional blues with international influences. Taj Mahal has collaborated with the likes of Ry Cooder, the Rolling Stones, Etta James, Eric Clapton, and countless others.

• Amy LaVere – Singer, songwriter, and upright bass player Amy LaVere is a leading light in the Memphis music scene and has won critical and popular acclaim for her unique blend of blues, country, gypsy jazz, and Southern soul.

• Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue – The former frontman of Double Trouble, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s backing band, and Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, Mike Farris plays a southern-accented blues that has made him a hit at festivals such as Bonnaroo, SXSW, Austin City Limits Festival, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Farris won the 2008 Americana Music Award for "New/Emerging Artist of the Year."
