UNDERCURRENTS & EXCHANGE @ WORLD FINANCIAL CENTER WINTER GARDEN: WEEKDAYS @ 1PM.

Third Rail Projects is at it again, continuing their mission to rescue dance from the twin devils of classical stagnation and academic obscurantism by bringing it to the streets—or in this case, the World Financial Center. Every workday lunch hour this month they will put on a new performance, finding new ways to creratively act out the hidden, interpersonal undercurrents of our daily routines.

Each piece is unique unto itself, but we're told that they will have an accumulative power for those who come each day. And this Thursday, 2/19/9, observers will have the opportunity to be participants: couples in business/job interview attire will be asked to slow dance and then disappear. If your artistically-inclined sweetie works downtown, this might help to make up for that lame teddy bear you got her for Valentine's Day. Just sayin'.
